1

Platform Role & Medical Emergency Disclaimer

Care Ceylon is a digital technology intermediary facilitating appointment scheduling and queue management between patients and independent Verified Medical Council registered healthcare practitioners. Care Ceylon does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency care. In the event of a medical emergency, call 1990 (Suwa Seriya) or visit the nearest hospital Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) immediately.

2

Account Eligibility & Electronic Contract

You must be at least 18 years of age to register a primary patient account on Care Ceylon. By creating an account and booking consultation tokens, you enter into a legally binding electronic contract enforceable under Section 11 of the Sri Lanka Electronic Transactions Act (No. 19 of 2006).

3

Appointment Booking, Cutoff Buffers & Rescheduling

Each consulting doctor configures a custom Cancellation & Reschedule Cutoff Window (typically 60 to 180 minutes prior to the scheduled session). Patients may cancel or reschedule appointments only before this cutoff window expires so that unused consultation slots remain available for other patients in need of care.

4

Post-Consultation Status Verification Duty

To maintain clinical queue integrity and protect both patients and practitioners, Care Ceylon utilizes Dual-Party Status Reconciliation. Following your scheduled consultation window, you may be prompted to verify whether your session was Completed, Missed, or Doctor Running Late. Submitting intentionally false attendance markings to manipulate records is a breach of these Terms and triggers an Administrative Conflict Audit.

5

3-Strike No-Show & Fair Queue Policy

Repeatedly booking appointments and failing to attend (Missed / No-Show) deprives fellow patients of timely medical consultations. Accumulating 3 or more unexcused No-Shows, or hoarding multiple concurrent tokens without attending, may result in a formal Fair-Use Warning or account suspension by the Super Administrator.

6

Family Dependents & Minor Children (<16 Years)

When adding family profiles or booking consultations on behalf of a minor child (under 16 years of age) or an incapacitated adult, you expressly warrant under Section 9 of the Sri Lanka Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) No. 9 of 2022 that you are their lawful parent, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver with authority to consent to the processing of their health information.

7

Zero-Tolerance Conduct Policy

Care Ceylon enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against verbal abuse, threats, harassment, or discriminatory behavior directed toward doctors, nursing staff, clinic receptionists, or platform support personnel. Confirmed misconduct results in immediate and permanent account termination.

8

Limitation of Clinical Liability

All consulting practitioners listed on Care Ceylon are independent healthcare professionals registered with the Verified Medical Council. Your consulting doctor holds sole clinical responsibility for medical examinations, diagnoses, prescriptions, and treatment outcomes.
